Deed of manumission dated June 22, 1858 by Ann Louisa Moore of Howard County, Maryland for her Negro slave named Mary Moore. Witnessed by W. M. Isaac, Thos. D. (Thomas D.) Griffith, and Justice of the Peace Thomas J. White and recorded by Howard County clerk W. W. Watkins, the document identifies Mary Moore as age 9 years on March 22, 1858 and and specifies her manumission take effect when she reaches age 18 years, which will be March 22, 1867.
