Peterson, Brian

Description

Brian Peterson was a SNCC volunteer in Mississippi during Freedom Summer. Included in his papers are a detailed and enthusiastic essay on his experiences in the freedom school in McComb; a more sober essay on poverty and totalitarianism in Mississippi; a more polished version of the same essay called "A Letter from Mississippi"; and some handwritten notes about black history, presumably for his freedom school class.
