This large folder contains articles by and about volunteers on their Freedom Summer work in Madison County, Mississippi; plans for such work in Canton, Mississippi; a description of a 1964 attempt to remove "colored" and "whites only" signs in Havana, FL; a discouraged COFO document stating that racial discrimination is so prevalent among federal programs that there’s no point in seeking help for local blacks from those quarters; a permission form to publish volunteers' letters; an ad for a freedom school; a program from Free Southern Theater's production of In White America which includes a good summary of the play; "Questions for the District Office to Handle"; a thank you card from "your host" with a handkerchief enclosed; a document on community centers; documents about the suspicious deaths of two local blacks; a lengthy summary of 1964 incidents in Canton, MS; fact sheets on voter registration and Freedom Days and on school boycotts and integration; a program from a 1964 Illinoi
