Description

Photograph of the east side of the 300 block North Bond Street from just south of Orleans Street in Baltimore, Maryland. In the left center of the picture is an alleyway known as Mullikin Court. To its left is a wooden garage; hanging above the garage doors is a sign advertising Lone Star Cement. To its right are two- and three-story brick row houses scheduled to be demolished as part of the Baltimore Housing Authority's slum clearance program. Groups of African Americans are standing or sitting outside the doorways and talking. Behind these buildings can be seen laundry hanging from second-floor clotheslines.
