This folder contains a wide variety of items, including the following: freedom song lyrics; flyers inviting people to an integrated dance and to gatherings in support of voter registration, citizenship classes, and the MFDP; the daily schedule and the art, music and drama curriculum at the Ruleville freedom school; flyers by black high school students listing their demands, including that their public school teachers register to vote, provide them better education, and account for the money their students were forced to provide through picking cotton for a couple of days for them; a newsletter on the upcoming Freedom School Convention; Tecklin's research notes and documents on Mississippi population, agriculture, industries, politicians, welfare programs, and the needs of black residents, and on interviews he conducted with local citizens; a report on the shooting death by police of Isaiah Taylor, a young black man; a SNCC press release on a white minister denied access to services at
