Description

Entries from November 1790 to February 1791 relate to voyages of the sloops Polly and Swallow, and the brig Friendship, and store sales of Andrew & Joseph Perkins. There are accounts of sailors in New London, including William Quill and Sawney, an African American, and payments and goods from Captain Samuel Wheat. An entry of Captain George Sidleman is for cash and a payment for bringing up Venture, possibly a ship. There is also an entry of Joshua Coit "to gold from bank at Boston." The end of the volume contains lists of horses to be sold in the West Indies and references to dates of voyages out of New London: the Swallow sailed to Guadeloupe on December 14, 1790, and the Polly sailed to Martinique on January 19, 1791.
