Daybook containing transactions from May 22 to December 8, 1786. Entries include a delivery of Andrew and Joseph Perkins' cargo to the schooner Elizabeth, commanded by Jabez Perkins; charges to Sally Smith for rum, flour, and payment to "Indian girl"; delivery to merchant Zebulon Smith of cargo to be sold in Demerara, such as tobacco, butter and salt; Andrew Perkins' payment to an African American man named Exeter for one day of work; receipt of 113 gallons New England rum from C&B Distillery; and credits for labor to Ezra Backus, David Moore, Bliss Corning, and Eliphalet Carew, Jr.
