Description

Holograph, signed.Lidian Jackson Emerson sends William Lloyd Garrison a photograph of Mr. Emerson taken ten or fifteen years ago. Lidian J. Emerson writes to Garrison with great admiration: "Permit me to say, that your letter I shall keep as a possession valuable and increases in value as the years and ages go by. I shall leave it to my children as the Autograph of a man without whose heroic labours and sacrifices we could not now rejoice in 'A Nation saved, a Race delivered!'"
