View of large group of black children bundled up in coats and hats playing at Tandy Park. The park is located at Cottage Ave., Pendleton Ave., Kennerly Ave., and Goode Ave. (Annie Malone Drive) in the Ville neighborhood of St. Louis. This was one of three “colored playgrounds” in St. Louis at the time. The view is from the grounds of Sumner High School on Cottage Ave. towards the east. From resource: 1874, 2-28-33
