Description

Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Edward Palmer writes William Lloyd Garrison to remind him of the promise he had made to himself to, once chattel slavery were abolished, pursue the "next great work to be done for the redemption of Humanity". Palmer states that while the particuliars of their respective beliefs may have evolved over the years, their shared goal remains intact: that they should strive to "have justice done on earth as it is in heaven". Palmers then proposes that the next reform movement they should initiate is the abolishment of the "Usury System", and forwards a pamphlet on the matter for Garrison's consideration.
