Holograph, signed.Pease Nichol writes to Garrison to criticize those within the Anti-Slavery movement who, in support of the Copperhead faction, have withdrawn their support of "The Liberator" due to Garrison's support of Abraham Lincoln's reelection. Pease Nichol labels these dissenters as having abandoned the principle of "freedom of thought & speech" at the heart of the Anti-Slavery movement.
