Description
Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Oliver Johnson sends to William Lloyd Garrison a photograph of Theodore Weld for Garrison's collection. Johnson states that he passed the weekend in Providence with Thomas and Paula Davis. Johnson expresses his wish to discuss with Garrison the matter of the "Copperhead Mob and the present prospects of the country". Johnson concludes by expressing his relief that the Anti-Slavery Office was not sacked by the mob during the riot, presuming that its inconspicuous nature spared it.
