Al Peterson ran The Sunday Gallery with Thad Harris. The gallery collected fine art from local black artists and exhibited it throughtout Westchester, Maryland, Georgia and Alabama assisted by the New York State Council on the Arts.Digitized by the Metropolitan New York Library Council as part of the Culture In Transit project, funded by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.This item was scanned as part of a community scanning day at White Plains Public Library held on December 12, 2015. Donated by Al Surya Peterson Jr. Known in childhood as Bunny, a nickname given to him by Robert Booker, who owned a building on Fisher Avenue the Petersons lived in.
