Description

Logan considers Du Bois's memorandum of Feb. 24 to Stokes "unexceptionable and unanswerable" except for two things: "How do you reconcile the statement that there would be no difference of opinion with respect to the number and distribution of the Negro peoples with the statement that there is no agreement as to who are Negroes" and "I hope that the necessity for this proposal can be avoided. At all events, it might be better to have it come from the board rather than have it originate with you."
