Description

Holograph.Caroline Weston went to the anti-slavery offices and learned that a meeting was to be held to "deliberate anent [Joel Prentiss] Bishop." She mentions Mr. Adams as "the hat store man." She describes the trouble caused by Bishop. [There seems to be a gap in the letter at this point.] The remainder of the letter is taken up with the description of an anti-slavery fair.
