Phelps, Beriah Green discusses Phelps’s employment situation and his own religious view. He then discusses the anniversary week at New York, which he expects to be “interesting & perhaps painful.” He hopes to learn more about the issue between New York and Boston societies before the meeting. He also hopes for a further discussion in the community on the issue of women’s rights.
