Description
During the 1920s, Westinghouse Electric Company built several housing tracts in the town of Turtle Creek, while Westinghouse Air Brake Company (later, WABCO), built housing for their workers in Wilmerding, and across the creek in Patton Township. Situated in the Boyd’s Hill area of Monroeville near Mellon Plan, these modest 1-story, wood frame structures were built for African American workers and their families.
