Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper with the number "165" written in pencil above the second line of the letter, along the spine edge. On the adjacent page, along the spine edge, "W.S. Nichols, Bradford, July 16, 1867." is also written in pencil, vertically, facing the fore edge of the page.W.S. Nichols writes to Thomas Holliday Barker about plans "to invite Mr. Garrison to visit Bradford ... [and] to have a meeting in St. George's Hall of the Temperance & Alliance Friends - and a public breakfast". He tells Barker there will be a preliminary meeting to make arrangements where he can provide information about William Lloyd Garrison and they can discuss "whether there is a probability of Mr. G. being able to accept an invitation to visit Bradford before or after his visit to the Alliance in Manchester".
