Description

There is no territorial statute in Utah that legalizes polygamy. Excerpts from the first public announcement of polygamy made by Orson Pratt. Pratt explains the connection of polygamy to the pre-mortal life and the eternities. He also explains the divine purpose of marriage. Judges Eckles and Sinclair are traveling to Fillmore, Utah. The Mormons are complaining of Indian trouble.
