Hoar, George F
Description
A lecture about Mormonism is reprinted. The speaker, Joseph Cook, argues that if Mormonism grows unchecked, it will soon control the politics of the western states. The Mormon leaders seek for political power, and they tell their followers how to vote. Cook lists thirty questions about Mormonism he posed to Gentile leaders while in Utah, and includes their answers. He summarizes anti-polygamy bills and offers suggestions to the government on controlling Mormonism and eradicating polygamy.
