A brochure describing the Huggart Settlement. In 1834, the Huggart family was the first African-American family to settle in St. Joseph County, Indiana. Describes the family, the community that formed around them, their connection to the Underground Railroad, the Olive Branch School, the Olive Branch Church, and Porter (Rea) Cemetery. The site was identified with a historical marker by the Indiana Historical Bureau and the Huggart Settlement Task Force.
