George Williams Jr., Republican candidate for South Bend mayor in the primary of May 1975. Up to that time, Williams had been a mentor in the South Bend Urban League's chapter of the Street Academy, worked with the Model Cities program, and had been one of the founders of the local newspaper The Reformer.
