Description

Holograph, signed.Mary Brady reports on the activities of Henry C. Wright and Frederick Douglass. She says of H. C. Wright that "we have greatly enjoyed his fireside society." She tells about his various meetings, including one attended by 700 or 800 children. Mary Brady says about Frederick Douglass: "I feel almost afraid to trust myself to speak of this dear friend so highly do I estimate his moral & intellectual character." She praises his speeches. H.C. Wright and Frederick Douglass left Leeds for New Castle to spend a few hours with Elizabeth Pease at Darlington.
