Description

Holograph, signedTitle devised by catalogerJames Miller M'Kim forwards a letter for Samuel May, Jr. to William Lloyd Garrison, stating that he was about to mail it to May in Leicester when he recalled that May was due to arrive shortly in Boston to attend a board meeting. M'Kim writes that the subject of the letter is the upcoming "decade" meeting, and asserts that it concerns Garrison as much as it does May. M'Kim begs Garrison to read the letter before ensuring that it reaches the hands of May. M'Kim writes that they do not insist on Lewis Tappan's being invited to join the decade meeting, and that they "never wanted" Joshua Leavitt to participate
