Description

Holograph, signedTitle devised by catalogerManuscript composed upon stationary bearing the typeset letterhead of the "American Freedmen's Aid Union, 69 Nassau St., New York"James Miller M'Kim informs William Lloyd Garrison that he has just received his most recent letter, having only arrived from Philadelphia where he and his wife celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. M'Kim inquires if Garrison has made any arrangements to date for their "Western tour", as he has been considering whether or not it might be more profitable to do something in service of the freedmen rather than undertaking a lecture tour
