Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.W.C.C. writes to Deborah Weston in regards to an argument between her and her companion with a train conductor due to complaint that "our friend Borden" was ordered out of the car to sit in the "Jim Crow car." The writer tells of Edmund Quincy's lecture in New Bedford. The formation of a new society open to both men and women is being considered. The writer says, "Cousin Susan thinks it is an excellent plan." The political folks are hard at work in Bristol County. Joshua Leavitt has been lecturing at Fall River. The writer praises Elizabeth Rodman.
