This is the wartime diary of Jesse Greer, a 16-year-old African American girl living in Cincinnati during World War I.A diary written by Jessie Greer. The diary has entries from February 21, 1919 to April 14, 1919. The diary cover has preprinted text that reads: [Normal / Note Book. / No. 600]. Handwritten in black ink above the preprinted text reads: [My Diary]. The interior has pages have diary entries written by hand in pencil. The entries detail Greer's daily activities and interactions with family and friends. The back cover is mostly blank with faded stamp on the bottom.Transcribed by digital volunteers
