Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white, lined stationery reading "Office of The Woman's Journal, No. 3 Tremont Place, Boston," along the head edge of the page.Lucy Stone writes to William Lloyd Garrison inviting Garrison to a tea party at Faneuil Hall to celebrate "one hundred years since the tea went into Boston Harbor" during the 1773 Boston Tea Party. Stone tells him "the occasion would be very incomplete without your presence" and in the postscript she asks for a response so that "we can make the anouncement."
