Description

A dashiki with kimono sleeves owned by Margaret Belcher. The dashiki is collarless, with a v-shaped cutout at the center front neck. There are side vents reaching approximately five (5) inches up from the hem. The fabric print is designed specifically for use with this style of garment, having a very deep blue ground with colorful designs printed around the hem, sleeves, and neck in red, blue, purple, and pale green. The design consists of geometric and stylized floral elements, with the design on the neck and around the bottom mirrored vertically from the center front and center back. There are two (2) patch pockets sewn at the front waist with the printed design also mirrored. Only the edges of the neck opening are self-lined, the rest of the garment is not lined. A manufacturer's tag was previously removed from the center back interior neckline.
