Venerine Branham served two terms on the Cleveland Public Library Board of Trustees. She was appointed in 1994. From 1998 to 2003 she was president of the Library Board. She gave this public statement at the start of her presidency in January 1998: The Cleveland Public Library is one of our city’s most treasured resources and provides excellent service to the community. It is a challenge to maintain such a high standard year after year.
