Evening Tribune Des Moines, Iowa Award to Negro WAC Musician Pvt. Maude Blackwood, Negro WAC musician and artist, will receive a special' seniiprofessional award at 4. p. m. Sunday as the| Dilettante club presents prizes for the sixteenth annual Negro art exhibit in the Des Moines library. Private Blackwood, former instructor of fine and industrial arts at State Teachers college, Elizabeth City, N. C, now is a French horn player in the First Negro WAC band at Fort Des Moines. Other Dilettante club awards Sunday will include: College sweepstakes, James Harris; high school, Ruth Spriggs; monochrome, William WTeston; illustrations, Oscar Frazier; elementary, Billy Wfesthers; crafts, Delores Rat-ton; pewter, Rodney Smith. The exhibit was judged by Cummings Art school representatives. ^e***00*0*
