Description

These reports from Meridian and Lauderdale County in 1964-1965 offer a small glimpse into Freedom Summer activities in a relatively urban, non-Delta setting. They include target numbers for Freedom Vote Registration; a list of precinct meetings in Meridian; a letter protesting the proposed replacement of George Smith as project director; and reports detailing voter registration progress, current programs, and hopes for future programs.
