This folder is comprised of a small collection of local newspapers. The articles contained within cover the actions of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party, issues of school desegregation, and the fire-bombings of African American-owned homes and businesses. Interspersed throughout are a number of essays, cartoons, and poems detailing the reality experienced by African Americans at the time.
