Description
Martin Luther King , Jr. Branch is constructed of yellow brick. The arched windows, two stories in height floods the interior with natural light. A graceful arcade surrounds the building and mirrors the windows' shape. There is a driveway on the north side. The building was originally designed with a driveup window. The building was conceived as a regional branch, four to five times larger than the older neighborhood branches. Mrs. Louise Bolden was the first branch manager. Building Status: Continuous library service since 1970
