Description

Holograph, signed.Edmund Quincy was glad to see Maria Weston Chapman's signature in the National Anti-Slavery Standard again. Maria W. Chapman's articles supply a want, and her style is different from Edmund Quincy and from Sydney Howard Gay. He comments on an article from Sydney H. Gay. Edmund Quincy has just sent in an article on "Tests." He hopes that Maria W. Chapman will write often for the Standard, and also will not fail to write weekly to Sydney H. Gay. Edmund Quincy says: "It is our duty to make him as comfortable as we can in the cheerless situation in which we have placed him." The subscription list is rather better "than we had reason to expect." He suggests that Maria W. Chapman write to Abby Kelley, reminding her of her promise "of getting the Central N.Y. money for us."
