Ans'd Apr. 15."Title supplied by cataloger.Miss Wigham mentions her late father's feeling of sympathy for the suffering of the Union soldiers. She is much cheered by the prospect of the conclusion of the war; the emancipation of the slaves in Maryland, Missouri, and West Virginia; and the passage of the thirteenth amendment. Miss Wigham says that she hopes that the pioneers in the abolition movement will see the end. She asks May to send a donation to William Shreve Bailey and gives instructions about certain subscriptions to "The Liberator."
