Depiction of the United States Christian Commission's Coffee Wagon operation at the re-enactment, each American Independence Day Weekend (on and surrounding July 4), of various skirmishes at the decisive 1863 Battle of Gettysburg, in Pennsylvania, which turned the tide of the American Civil War against the outmanned, rebellious Confederates for good. The commission was an outreach effort of the YMCA, the Young Men's Christian Association, to bring comfort (including a decent cup of coffee as well as spiritual guidance) to Union soldiers. Pictured are re-enactors Chris Utley; his son, Michael; and Faith Farley
