Description

This account book documents Silas Casey's farm accounts, including payments for weaving, farm labor, tanning, leasing of livestock, and foodstuffs, and it includes memoranda, which are chiefly dates and wages for farm laborers. This account book includes information that documents both the presence of free African Americans working at Silas Casey's farm and aspects of their lives outside of their work.
