Video of the 1987 North Georgia Folk Festival in Athens, Georgia, part 1 of 3. An announcer introduces John "Doodle" Thower and the Golden River Grass. The band plays several songs, with Doodle on harmonica and vocals. In between songs, Doodle amuses the audience. Next, the emcee introduces the Small Family Orchestra, who play international and "new folk" music. Next, the Brown's Chapel Choir performs.
