Interview with Horace and Catherine Butterfield. They relate some of Horace's personal history, including that while in the army, he stood guard over the body of General George Custer at the site of the Little Big Horn massacre. This interview is part of a Works Progress Administration (WPA) in Crow Wing County during the years 1936-1939. This outreach effort sought to record personal accounts of the lives of early Crow Wing County pioneers and settlers.
