Description

Correspondence between Sister Antonius Kennelly and other parties during her last two years as president, between 1946 and 1947. Letters focus on issues of college administration, inter-institutional cooperation, graduate recruitment, and event planning. Included is a 1949 exchange with R.B. Atwood, president of Kentucky State College, concerning the African American presence at the College of St. Catherine. The letter refers to Whitney M. Young, Jr., the first African American to lecture at the College, and notes the date of the first African American graduate.
