This document is from a collection of financial papers related to the plantation operations of several generations of the Rouzee Family in Essex County, Virginia. The papers date from the 1790s through 1860.This document is an accounting record for the years 1810 and 1811 with some of the entries pertaining to the hiring out of enslaved persons and the amount due the enslavers for the labor or services performed. The document is a single page folded vertically multiple times and handwritten in black ink.Transcribed by digital volunteers
