Evening Tribune Des Moines, Iowa APR 3019 |A Son Born To a WAAC The first baby to be born within WAAC ranks arrived Thursday at Fort Des Moines. A son was born to a 22-year-old Negro WAAC of Franklin, La., in the post hospital. The mother began training at the Fort only nine days before and it was not known she was an expectant mother, post officials said, until she went to the post hospital Thursday, complaining she was ill. Since the young woman enrolled *arly in March in Louisiana it ap peared she had been given a care less physical examination at that time. By WAAC regulation, women who are expectant mothers are ineligible to the corps. Women with dependents under 14 also are ineligible. When the mother, who said on her enrollment papers she was unmarried, is able to leave the hospital, she will be discharged from the WAAC, following a customary hearing by a board, . on which at least three WAAC o
