Description
Madelyne Blunt published a homemaker’s magazine, Gracious Living, in the 1960s in Cleveland. After that venture folded, she created an at-home marketing service called Club Date, in which she organized product demonstrations for merchants and manufacturers who wanted to attract Cleveland’s African-American consumers, according to Black Enterprise magazine (June 1972).
