Description

Saijiro Ishikawa emigrated to San Francisco from Toyama Ken, Japan at the beginning of the twentieth century. He moved to Sacramento ca. 1905 and purchased farmland to grow grapes at 9010 Tokay Lane. In 1908 Saigiro married Fusa Ishiguro. They raised five children, the youngest named Woodrow. The Ishikawa family was evacuated to Tule Lake Relocation Center, and after segregation, transferred to Jerome, Arkansas.
