Description
L to R: Mrs. Putnam, Superintendent Putnam, and board members Hymes and Warder. The new school is built as part of a school combination which replaced Pierce School and Whitney School, which burned September 18, 1962. The school is dedicated the Rufus A. Putnam Elementary School, after the Minneapolis school superintendent, on November 6, 1966. Group; Interior African American History.
