Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Jacob Walton, the Secretary of the Michigan Anti-Slavery Society, writes to William Lloyd Garrison on behalf of the State Central Committee "with deep emotions of pleasure" inquiring about a potential visit to Michigan. Walton asks Garrison his when he would arrive and how long he plans to stay in Michigan, so that the organization can plan "the holding of our State Convention accordingly." In the postscript, he asks Garrison to "Please write immediately" so they can begin making plans for the convention and adds that "Adrian is but six hours ride from Cleveland" by railroad.
