Description

Holograph, signed with initials.Deborah Weston sent this letter to Maria Weston Chapman, and Anne, most probably Anne G. Chapman Dicey. Deborah discusses letters she received and sent. Deborah found Mary [Gray Chapman] "more on her hind leggs than in the morning;" nevertheless, Deborah wonders if Mary's mind is not a little affected. Deborah met Fanny Garrison: "I fancy Fanny is her mother over again--very amiable." [Fanny is a nickname for Helen Francis Garrison Villard.]
