Description

The scrapbook (loose pages) consists of many trade cards about coal and stoves. There are a total of 27 pages that contain trade cards on them. Starting with the second page, there are five cards total, the bottom right corner card has a baby in a basket, being rocked by a dog pulling a string. Page three has 13 trade cards on the page. 10 advertise for J. C. Jacoby & Co's. Page four contains four cards. The bottom two cards are for Rising Sun Stove Polish. Page five has three cards on the page, all advertising Rising Sun Stove Polish, with an African American family using it. Page six has four cards on the page, all advertise Rising Sun Stove Polish as well. Page seven has four trade cards. They are sets of two, all are "stories" about using/not using Rising Sun Stove Polish. Page eight contains four cards, the bottom two are for Rising Sun Stove Polish. Page nine contains two cards, both are for Dixon's Stove Polish. Page 10 contains five cards, two show a house and factory set up of the Morse Bro's. Page 11 contains nothing. Page 12 contains five cards, the bottom right corner card is of a child holding a baby lamb. Page 13 contains six cards, two are identical and advertising Adams & Westlake wire gauze non-explosive oil stove.
