Description

Hodges, Phillemon;Bill for laying a tax in the District of Halifax for the purpose of repairing the jail of said District (laid over). Bill to empower Phillemon Hodges, collector of the taxes of Cumberland County for the year 1789 to collect the arrearages yet due for the said year (rejected). Bill to amend an act entitled an Act to amend an act entitled an Act for the regulating the Town of Salisbury in the County of Rowan and for regulating the Town of Windsor in Bertie County and to amend the Tarboro and Warrenton Town laws. Bill to amend and act entitled an Act for the better observation of the Lord's Day commonly called Sunday and for the more effectual suppression of vice (rejected).
